Excellent list of contrasting thought! =D

Wait wait, in your 'conservative' panel, what makes all of those dudes (Except Reagan) Conservatives? Hell, they were the founders of your nation, way before they could get around to making ';Parties' yet. Methinks you could as easily attribute those quotes to a liberal.

In the liberal part, Uh, well, there's more Russians and Germans there than 'americans' (and the lone crazy Cuban) so, those policies don't apply to your country, so why worry? I.e. you're shooting at a hen and saying you're targeting a duck.

thanks for looking and for your comments. ;)

liberals promote socialism. that's a fact. the point is the quotes are very similar. these are but a few examples. the contrast is not only for conservatives vs liberals but also to contrast what socialists say compared to what libs say.

the conservative quotes are very similar to what our founders said. in fact conservatives want to protect the constitution which is in the liberal's way to personal power.

there is no question that conservatives are more like our founders and liberals are more like socialists. i hit the hen straight on.

btw: the count is 3 russians, 1 chinese, 1 cuban and 3 americans.

I don't know, being that back then these ideologies were basically being born i wouldn't know if i would assign the words of the founding fathers to one ideology or another, but that's subjective, i guess. Anyone is free to pick up a flag and wave it as they see fit. That said, wouldn't it help the balance to put something relative to conservatives on the conservative side? I mean, you're putting herb on the liberal side, you might as well add some doves to represent christ on the conservative side, so things are balanced and your artwork doesn't resemble cheap propaganda.

Thanks for the count, i was too lazy to do that. I am mexican, afterall! ;)
:iconistarlome:
how did you end up in italy?
:iconalexiuss:
I'm pretty sure that Joseph Stalin wasn't liberal.
He was as conservative as you can get- he wanted to be "god of all Russia" aka very similar to Tzar and constructed classical buildings in Russia such as the seven sisters.
He sentenced all liberal thinking such as Constructivist art, freedom to vote, and free speech to death.
To group him with the "liberals" shows that you have no real understanding of history.
:iconistarlome:
thanks for looking and the comment.

stalin's socialism is what i'm referring to. and there is no question that libs in this country want to shut conservative speech up.

there is no conservative in america (that i can think of) who is anything like js.
:iconalexiuss:
Stalin NEVER had socialism. He called himself communist/socialist, but in reality he was just a tyrant, hiding behind the mask of fake, pretend socialism.
It was pure tyranny- two of my great grandfathers were sentenced to death in labor camps- one for telling a political joke, another for speaking Chinese.

Socialism came to Russia way later, after Stalin's death... and it wasn't even true socialism.
